SUMMARY:Members-Only Day: Nazis Next Door Special Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Join us for Members Only Day! \nAn original exhibition created by the St. Louis Kaplan Feldman Holocaust Museum\, Nazis Next Door: St. Louis Faces Nazism in the 1930s explores the ways in which Missourians\, particularly St. Louisans\, made the choice to support or resist Nazi ideas of extremism and antisemitism right here at home. Through local narratives\, historical records\, and personal stories\, many of which come directly from the Museum’s own Archives and Collections\, this exhibition will challenge perceptions of our city’s history. What did St. Louisans know about Nazism and Antisemitism? How were they getting that information? And what did they choose to do with it? Looking forward\, what responsibility do we have in the face of rising antisemitism and extremism? \nThis exhibition is located in the Karpati Gallery. The Karpati Gallery\, named in memory of József and Peter Karpati\, is located on the Museum’s lower level and features a rotating selection of special exhibitions on history\, culture\, and art.
