The Holocaust Museum & Learning Center will be closed at least through March 31 in order to best protect the community, our volunteers, and our staff. We will be postponing previously announced events, including The Argentina Journal exhibit, the Jeremy Schonfeld performance, and the March showing for the Sunday Afternoon Film Series.

As most schools in the US we are closed and are switching to online learning. Is there a “virtual tour” I can send my students on as an activity while they are learning at home?
Good question! Yes, we are actually working on putting that up on the website currently. Stay tuned!
Do you still plan to hold the annual Art and Writing Contest? Would you possibly be able to move to online submissions? Hard for the art component, I realize.
Will you have the annual Writing Contest still? Thanks so much!
What is the plan for the the annual Art and Writing Contest? specifically the. Art submissions?
All,
We have received several inquiries regarding our Annual Art & Writing Contest (original invitation below). Given the lack of certainty that we are all dealing with, here is what we propose. We are cancelling the awards event on May 11 and no longer considering this to be a “competition.” When we return to work onsite at the Museum, we will read and evaluate all of the entries that we have received and consider them for posting on our website, probably sometime over the summer. We are happy to receive submissions by regular mail or by email until the April 17 deadline.
Please send submissions in PDF format to info@hmlcstl.org, and please label the file with the student’s last name and first initial.
We look forward to getting past this difficult period and reopening the HMLC so we can continue to be a resource for educators and our community.
Thank you!
