Staged Reading: Camp Siegfried by Bess Wohl

August 20 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
$8

Join the Museum for a night of theater with a staged reading of Camp Siegfried, a play by Tony award winner Bess Wohl. This program is part of our “Nazis Next Door” exhibition programming.

Camp Siegfried centers of the story of two teenagers who fall in love at a German-American Bund summer camp on Long Island in 1938 and explores how their romance becomes intertwined with the seductive and dangerous allure of Nazi ideology. Inspired by the real Camp Siegfried, the two-person play uses the backdrop of seemingly idyllic camp activities to chillingly depict the indoctrination of young people and the ease with which they can be seduced by hateful ideas.

Tickets are: $8 for general admission, $5 for individual and dual members, and free for family and guardian level members.
