Profiles of valor among Jews during the Shoah as well as the circumstances and characteristics that enabled this courage will be the subject of the Annual Rubin Feldman Memorial Lecture on Sunday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m. at the Holocaust Museum & Learning Center.
Rabbi Shmuel Yaakov Klein’s talk is entitled “Stars that Pierce the Darkness: Jewish Heroism in the Face of Evil.” Rabbi Klein is the Director of Zechor Yemos Olam, the Holocaust Studies division of Torah Umesorah.
A child of Holocaust survivors, Rabbi Klein has authored and/or translated numerous volumes of Holocaust literature. He teaches Holocaust Studies to history instructors in venues including high schools, seminaries, fellowship programs, and at multiple day seminars.
Rabbi Klein wrote and narrated the DVD, Strike on Heaven, which traces the Third Reich’s agenda for eliminating all traces of Jewish legacy.
