The 2018 Sandra and Mendel Rosenberg Sunday Afternoon Film Series will present the 1998 film Pleasantville, starring Toby McGuire, Reese Witherspoon, Joan Allen, and William H. Macy, for its November showing.

Individuality and conformity are some of the central themes in this fantasy about a brother and sister who are magically transported into a black-and-white 1950s family television show.

An introduction and post-screening discussion will be facilitated by Drew Newman, who received a Bachelor’s Degree in film from Syracuse University. His film, The Man Who Loved Flowers, appeared in the Stephen King Dollar Baby Festival in Los Angeles and Belgium.

The screening will be at 1 p.m. on Nov. 25 in the Holocaust Museum & Learning Center Theater at 12 Millstone Campus Drive. Films in this Sunday series are free and open to the public.
