Bais Abraham Congregation and the Holocaust Museum & Learning Center will present a screening of “The Good Nazi,” which tells the story of Major Karl Plagge, a Nazi officer who risked his life to save hundreds of Jews during the Holocaust.

The film will be introduced by Richard Freund, the Maurice Greenberg Professor of Jewish History and Director of the Maurice Greenberg Center for Judaic Studies at the University of Hartford. He is a field archaeologist and has directed over a dozen archeological projects in Israel on behalf of the University of Hartford. Freund has authored hundreds of scholarly articles and 10 books. His newest book, Archeology of the Holocaust: Vilna, Rhodes, and Escape Tunnels, will be published this year.

The showing will be Sunday, Feb. 10, at 1 pm at Bais Abraham, 6910 Delmar Blvd., in University City.
