Self-Guided Exploration
Self - Guided Exploration of the Permanent Holocaust Exhibition.
Students are invited to explore the Permanent Holocaust Exhibition at their own pace, following the stories and artifacts that interest them. Knowledgeable museum guides are present throughout the space to support wayfinding, answer questions, and deepen understanding. An activity accompanies the experience, helping keep students engaged while encouraging reflection, curiosity, and meaningful connections.
This experience will be phased out at the end of the Fall 2026 semester. For our new program check out Breaking the Spiral: The Escalation of Hate During the Holocaust. If you are still interested in a more independent experience, check out our Teacher-Led Exploration option.

Program Only – 1 hour 20 minutes
With additional experience 2 hours 35 minutes

Sample Schedule
Arrival time: Please arrive within the 15-minute window before your experience starts. Students will need time to get off the bus, go through security, and, if needed, use the restroom. If you arrive after your start time or more than 15 minutes before your program, modifications might have to be made.
Welcome (20 minutes)
Session 1 (1 hour) – Self-Guided Exploration
Optional Session 2 (1 hour 15 minutes) – Additional Experience which can include the Impact Lab, Holocaust Testimony: Survivor and Descendant Speakers, or the Special Exhibition, when available
