Current Internship Opportunities:

Education Internship

The Education internship program extends across a full year, from early Fall through the culmination of the school year. Throughout this duration, interns are integrated into the education team. Interns receive comprehensive orientation, delve into historical training focusing on the Holocaust, immerse themselves in museum experiential learning within the galleries, and undergo Impact Lab facilitation training. The ultimate aim is to empower interns to confidently lead historical tours of our permanent Holocaust exhibition and adeptly facilitate Impact Lab sessions and other engaging workshops.

Development Internship

Interns in the Development Department will assist with committee support, event coordination, donor database management, stewardship, acknowledgment, prospecting, and strategic solicitation campaigns. This internship is ideal for those eager to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit and Museum development.

Marketing Internship

Interns in the Marketing Department will assist with a variety of marketing, communications, branding, and public relations tasks. Tasks may include, but are not limited to: drafting web or social copy, updating the Museum website, drafting press releases, creating marketing graphics, and drafting marketing emails. This internship is ideal for those interested in gaining experience in all aspects of Museum marketing and communications.

Archives & Collections Internship

Interns in the Archives and Collections Department will assist with the arrangement and description of archival materials and museum objects. They will also assist with completing the tasks laid out by the IMLS Grant, which is funding the digitization of the museum’s oral history collection and a CMS to provide more access to the museum’s collection.  Tasks may include physical processing, digitization, cataloging, creation of transcripts, and more. Interest in archives, collection management, history, or libraries is helpful.
