A Brief Bio
Isabella Silverstein was born in Moscow on October 24, 1910, to a wealthy Russian Jewish family. The family resettled in Berlin and left shortly after Hitler came to power in 1935.
She went with her husband to England and then to South Africa. She eventually emigrated to the United States.
