Rabbi Robert P. Jacobs was born June 16, 1908 in Syracuse, New York. Rabbi Jacobs founded the St. Louis Hillel at Washington University in 1946 and was its first director, a position he held until 1972. At the St. Louis Center for Holocaust Studies, Rabbi Robert P. Jacobs related observations about American Jewry during the Hitler period, 1933-45. Rabbi Robert P. Jacobs passed away on November 30, 2001.
