Special Exhibition: Stitching History From the Holocaust

image of the artist who captured eichmann graphic

Originally created by Jewish Museum Milwaukee, this moving exhibition brings to life the story of Hedwig Strnad, a talented Jewish dress designer from Prague whose dreams—and life—were cut short by the Holocaust. Through surviving letters and Hedwig’s original dress designs, the exhibition explores the tragic loss of talent, potential, and human creativity at the hands of the Nazi regime.

But this is more than a story of loss. Thanks to meticulous recreations of her designs, visitors can see Hedwig’s work realized for the first time—a haunting, beautiful tribute to a life interrupted.

Whether you’re passionate about design, fashion, history, or human stories, this is an exhibition you won’t want to miss.
