The following poem was written by Hilda Lebedun and shared as part of the Memory Project.
My spine decided
It needed more attention
From me!
It really seriously
Let me know
Its attachment to me.
I did not know
It needed much care
Until I wound up
In Intensive Care.
How far we came
From open-back surgery.
The computer helped
With the analogy
Deep puncture tubes
Were made
To deliver cement
To the painful
Broken spine.
Twice!
After orders
From the docs
To take very good
Care for my fragile spine!
And follow
The orders given
For my daily life!
Period!
There are many things
I cannot do,
Some absolutely not!
Remember the
Horrendous pain,
Follow the orders
To the dot!

Do u have bad health issues because of the holocaust?
Do you have lots of scars on your back?
What was the tragic events like in the camp and what was it like in the camp
